Manager of Shelter Programs – Shelter Programs includes programming at the shelter location and an After Care Program.  This position is responsible for the management of the Shelter Programs -including the supervision of staff, volunteers, interns and participants.  Oversee all participant intakes and discharges from the shelter. Supervise participants in the program, provide case management, facilitate groups, maintain shelter policies and procedures, maintain records, prepare reports, manage facility and coordinate programming. Substitute Shelter Coordinator – This position is not routinely assigned a shift, but provides coverage when regularly assigned staff are unable to work. Coverage is most often needed on holidays and occasional weekends. Supervise residents staying in the shelter, enforce shelter policy and procedures, maintain records, and ensure resident safety and the on-going positive conditions of the shelter facility. Internships – The Action Center has non-paid, for-credit intern learning opportunities available for students seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees in specific fields of learning. Candidates applying for internships must be working with their school’s internship program to be eligible. The intern will be responsible for completing all school requirements and The Action Center agrees to uphold a learning environment with increasing responsibilities and challenges as the semester moves forward.
